얼마전부터 방영중인 MBC 드라마 "욕망의 불꽃"에서도 배경음으로 잔잔히 깔리던 이 노래.. 내가 이 노래를 알게 된 경로가 몇년전에 증정용으로 받게된 비매품 올드팝CD이긴 하지만, 언제들어도 시대를 뛰어넘는 명곡임에도 틀림없다.. 오랫만에 우연히 드라마에 깔리는 배경음악으로 듣게 된 기억속에서 잊혀졌었던 이 노래를 소개해보려 한다.. 영국가수 Mary Hopkin의 대표곡으로 뽑히기도 하는 노래이자, 친구들과의 추억을 들먹이는 부분에서 빠짐없이 등장하는 노래.. 아름다운 노랫말과 멜로디가 매력적인 메리홉킨의 이 노래를 한번 가사와 함께 들어보자.
